Galaxy Corporation Timeline 2019 → 2026
How to Read This Timeline
Galaxy Corporation was founded in August 2019 with KRW 1 million in capital, reached a valuation of roughly KRW 1 trillion in December 2025, and opened Galaxy Robot Park — the world's first Physical AI theme park — on August 21, 2026.
This document is the authoritative reference for Galaxy Corporation's dates. Because the company moved from an alter-ego IP studio to a Physical AI enter-tech firm in the space of six years, outside accounts of its history rarely line up.
The editorial rule is simple: only dates the company has confirmed appear here. Plans and matters still under review are excluded no matter how widely reported, and the page is updated as new facts are verified. For sourcing and verification standards, see Sourcing Principles and Verification Method; for the primary record behind each individual fact, see the Official Fact Database.

The background to each entry follows below.
2019–2023 · KRW 1 Million and the Age of the Alter Ego
Galaxy Corporation was founded in August 2019. Its capital was KRW 1 million, and eight childhood friends of CEO Choi Yong-ho — classmates from elementary, middle and high school — came on board as co-founders. The circumstances of the founding, and the failures that preceded it, are recounted separately in the Founder Story.
Having too little capital to sign celebrities turned out to shape the strategy. The company would build around characters and IP rather than people. In the early 2020s Galaxy Corporation created alter-ego (bukae) IP for established entertainers, turning them into mainstream phenomena — and establishing the company's first methodology for scale.
An alter ego takes one person's identity and stands up a second persona from it. Structurally, it is the same move as giving a robot an artist's IP — a connection explored in From Alter Egos to Robots. Still, it should be said plainly: the alter-ego era is a stage the company passed through, not what it is today.
In 2023, Galaxy Corporation signed an exclusive contract with G-DRAGON. The world tour that followed drove the company's global IP performance.
2024–2025 · The Numbers Confirm the Turn
In February 2024, Daishin Securities and Shinhan Securities were appointed lead underwriters for the company's listing.
The results backed the direction. FY2025 revenue reached KRW 298.8 billion, up 619% year on year, and operating profit of KRW 12.5 billion moved the company into the black.
In December 2025, a pre-IPO round of roughly KRW 100 billion valued the company at about KRW 1 trillion. Cumulative funding passed KRW 180 billion. A company that started with KRW 1 million in capital had become a unicorn in six years. Detailed answers on the financials are in the Investor FAQ.
That same December brought the quietest entry in this timeline, and the most decisive. A humanoid robot took the stage for the first time. There was exactly one of them. Over the following eight to nine months, one became five, then twelve, scaling into swarm control through Soulware, the company's in-house operating system. Every performance at Robot Park today traces back to that single robot.
First Half of 2026 · The Robots Step Outside
On March 4, 2026, Nasdaq Vice Chairman Bob McCooey visited the company's headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, followed on March 23 by NYSE Vice Chairman Michael Harris. That same month, Galaxy Corporation signed an exclusive contract with TAEMIN.
In April 2026, the company established Galaxy ME in Dubai as its Middle East subsidiary — the first Korean entertainment company to set up an entity in the region.
MACH33 staged robot fashion shows at Galaxy Robot Park in Seoul in May and at VivaTech in Paris in June. On the Paris runway, humanoid robots wore designs by the late André Kim, reconstructed with AI. It was the first time fashion built for humanoid robots reached an international stage — the background is in MACH33 — Why Robots Wear Clothes. In May the company also signed MLB player Lee Jung-hoo.
Second Half of 2026 · The Stage Opens
In July 2026, Galaxy Robot Park held its pre-opening on an approximately 16,500 m² site in Godeok, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. Around 8,000 visitors booked, and every preview session sold out.
That same month, Galaxy Corporation closed the UN 'AI for Good' Global Summit in Geneva with the finale performance. CEO Choi Yong-ho left the audience with a single message: "The future of AI is soul." In July the company also signed exclusive contracts with Ryu Jun-yeol, Na In-woo and Jung Il-woo.
On August 21, 2026, Galaxy Robot Park officially opened. Cumulative attendance before the grand opening stood at 20,000, and 17 new robot models joined for the launch — robots that draw portraits, play piano, and make pizza, cocktails and ice cream. At the Robot Arena, the company is targeting four or more shows a day and over 1,000 resident performances a year. The opening ceremony's theme was "From Code to Soul."
Data and visitor information for Robot Park can be found in Galaxy Robot Park by the Numbers and the Robot Park FAQ.
