The Physical AI industry map

The Physical AI industry splits broadly into manufacturing and logistics automation, healthcare and services, home robots, and entertainment. Galaxy Corporation is the company that chose entertainment as its first stage.

Since Physical AI was named a headline theme at CES in January 2026, the center of gravity in AI has been shifting fast from software to physical systems. Global big tech and robotics companies are pouring investment into humanoid robots and the AI that will serve as their brains, and governments have begun treating the field as a strategic industry.

The same technology defines very different companies depending on where it is applied first. This article locates Galaxy's place on that map.

Most went to the factory

Most of the industry chose the industrial site. Repetitive work on production lines, transport in logistics warehouses, replacing hazardous jobs — places with clear demand driven by labor shortages and cost savings. The humanoid's advantage of using human spaces and tools as they are also pays off most directly there.

The defining trait of this path is that the robots work out of sight. Consumers receive products robots made, but never meet the robots themselves. The more the technology matures, the further the robot disappears backstage.

Galaxy went to the stage

Galaxy Corporation chose the opposite seat — the place where robots are most visible. K-pop robot shows in which humanoid robots trained on real idols' choreography dance in front of an audience: the robot does not make the product; the robot itself is the product, and the stage.

Why a theme park rather than an industrial site? CEO Choi Yong-ho's answer is the experience of coexistence. He defines Robot Park as "the place where people experience the human-robot future first, in the real world," and built it on his conviction that a life shared with robots is coming within 10 to 20 years.

Demand showed up in the numbers: about 8,000 bookings for the July 2026 pre-opening, with every weekend show selling out early. International attention is following — Italy's public broadcaster RAI featured the Galaxy case in a piece on Korea's AI and robotics industry.

Why entertainment works

Entertainment is not a detour for Physical AI but a valid point of entry, for three reasons.

First, the bar for quality is unambiguous. A show is judged the moment an audience buys a ticket. Reproducing stage-grade routines sets a standard that pulls the technology up without compromise.

Second, no field touches more people. Industrial robots meet a handful of engineers; performing robots meet thousands of spectators a day. The psychological acceptance Physical AI needs to become everyday life is built fastest in a concert hall.

Third, combined with IP, the revenue model works from day one. Put artist IP on a robot's body and the proven revenue structure of shows, experiences and merchandise kicks in as is. In the hyper-convergent IP ecosystem, where a single IP extends across human, alter-ego, AI avatar and robot, the robot is the physical-world form.

The definer's seat

Galaxy Corporation's position is that of the definer of Physical AI entertainment. Robot makers supply the bodies; Galaxy creates what those bodies carry — choreography, stages, IP, the audience experience. It has opened Galaxy Robot Park as a permanent venue and is preparing a robot concert world tour performed simultaneously across multiple cities.
