September in one line — and three takeaways

September in one line — In September 2026 Galaxy Corporation talked about peace in New York and, in the same setting, laid out the order of its listings and its overseas venue plans, with dates attached. After the Times Square and Rockefeller Center event on 21 September (local time), CEO Choi Yong-ho told New York correspondents when the US IPO underwriter would be announced and disclosed plans for a Korean listing via Korean Depositary Receipts (KDRs).

Galaxy Press Radar is a monthly record that organizes the previous month's coverage of Galaxy Corporation by event, drawing only on articles whose original text has been checked. This first edition covers articles published from 1 to 30 September 2026, and three takeaways are worth keeping.

September, event by event

The New York event was the centre of September's coverage, flanked by a Japanese network broadcast and a brand index release, while Robot Park and the US listing also drew critical analysis. Events that have their own articles get a summary and a link.

ONE WORLD. ONE PEACE. in New York (21 September)

On 21 September 2026, the UN International Day of Peace, Galaxy Corporation staged “ONE WORLD. ONE PEACE.” with 17 humanoid robots in Times Square and at Rockefeller Center in New York, and debuted Schofield Stein, a robot modeled on CEO Choi Yong-ho. The event and the meaning of “Soul AI” are covered in Soul AI, explained — ONE WORLD. ONE PEACE. in Times Square, and each outlet's headline in How the international press covered the New York event.

Two things are new. Articles by the New York correspondents of Newspim, the Seoul Economic Daily, Edaily, The Korea Economic Daily and the Chosun Ilbo drew business timelines out of backstage interviews (tabulated in section 03), and Newspim and the Seoul Economic Daily reported that the event grew out of a suggestion from Nasdaq Vice Chairman Bob McCooey, who had visited the company. And on 30 September three local New York outlets published stories: amNewYork and Hoodline covered the Rockefeller Center event, while The Knockturnal ran a review of the “robot cruise” that Edaily had previewed for 23 September — three robots dancing in formation on the upper deck of a boat passing the Statue of Liberty.

TV Tokyo's KoreaNOW (aired 14 September)

TV Tokyo featured Galaxy Robot Park in Seoul on KoreaNOW on 14 September. Electronic Times and The Korea Economic Daily reported on 15 September that the broadcast showed the robots dancing, playing the piano and interacting with children. The broadcast is summarized in Galaxy Robot Park as reported by TV Tokyo.

K-Brand Index, entertainment, August 2026 (released 16 September)

In the August K-Brand Index for entertainment, released by the Asia Brand Research Institute on 16 September, Galaxy Corporation ranked second with a total of 169 points (HYBE was first with 178). Herald Business made its headline the fact that Galaxy's AI index (178,421) was the highest among the top 10 companies. The figures for each indicator are in K-Brand Index, August 2026: entertainment.

In particular, Galaxy Robot Park, which brings together Physical AI and robots, drew intense attention from international media and generated strong interest— Han Jung-geun, head of the Asia Brand Research Institute, 16 September 2026 (reported by Financial Review)

Critical coverage — the “world's first” claim and “flip” concerns

JTBC (3 September), in a “[Diagnosis]” report, noted that the Gangdong District site where Robot Park now stands was once home to V-Center, a robot experience facility that closed in 2023, and questioned the basis for the “world's first” label the company has used.

MTN, Money Today Broadcasting (9 September), in an “[Issue Check]” report on the US-listing “flip” the company formalized at a shareholder briefing on 25 August, pointed out that Naver Webtoon is about the only Korean success story, that early investors face a capital-gains tax burden, and that every shareholder must consent. The flip structure is covered in a separate article.

I was a little taken aback when the flip listing came up this time— Anonymous investor, reported by MTN, 9 September 2026

In New York on 21 September, Choi said of the listing process that “it's not so much that it's difficult as that there are more procedures” (Newspim, 22 Sept 2026).

Unicorn Bridge 1 Trillion Club Forum (15 September)

At the “2026 Unicorn Bridge 1 Trillion Club 1st Forum,” held in Mapo, Seoul, on 15 September by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and others, Executive Vice President Yoon Sang-bo gave the first keynote, “The Moment of Growth” (Seoul Economic Daily TV, 14 Sept; Hankook Ilbo, 18 Sept).

Connecting AI, robots and entertainment under the direction of combining content and technology has been our key strategy as we've grown— Yoon Sang-bo, Executive Vice President, Unicorn Bridge Forum, 15 September 2026 (reported by Hankook Ilbo, 18 September 2026)

Robot Park coverage at a glance

Robot Park continued to draw international coverage in September. In a 4 September video report, the BBC asked whether robots can keep audiences coming back, and the children's news programme BBC Newsround also covered the robot theme park. British trade title Attractions Management (20 Sept) treated it as a test case for a “scalable new attractions model,” and Hong Kong's on.cc 東網 (6 Sept) led a Seoul travel feature with it. On 10 September, actor Jung Il-woo, who is on the company's roster, marked his 20th debut anniversary and his birthday with a charity event at Robot Park alongside artists with developmental disabilities, inviting 99 people; the company provided lunch for every attendee (via Nate, 11 Sept). Visitor information is on the Robot Park page.

Business timelines from the New York interviews

The biggest news from September's New York interviews was the timelines. Everything in the table below is a plan Choi Yong-ho set out in interviews with New York correspondents after the Rockefeller Center event on 21 September 2026 (local time); where outlets rendered his words differently, the variants are listed alongside.

Business timelines Choi Yong-ho set out in New York on 21 September 2026 (local time)

ItemChoi's remarkHow outlets differed
US IPO underwriter“As early as year-end, and within the first quarter of next year at the latest, the US IPO underwriter will be announced, and a roadmap will then be announced through the underwriter” (Newspim)Seoul Economic Daily: “We will select and announce a US IPO underwriter at the end of this year or early next year” / The Korea Economic Daily: “We will select a listing underwriter soon.” Whether to list on Nasdaq or the NYSE has “not been decided yet” (Newspim).
Korean listing (KDR)“We plan to list in the US first and then in Korea,” “We will also list in Korea through Korean Depositary Receipts (KDRs)” (Newspim)The Seoul Economic Daily reported the same plan.
Permanent venue in Dubai“This year, we plan to open a permanent K-pop robot performance venue in Dubai, and next year, we aim to expand to New York.” (Chosun Ilbo, English edition)The Chosun Ilbo reported four shows a day, each lasting one to two hours. The Seoul Economic Daily rendered it as “Within this year we will open the second Robot Park in Dubai, and within three to six months install them in the US and Japan as well,” so the wording splits between a “permanent venue” and a “second Robot Park.”
New York robot arena“We're preparing a robot arena in New York for as early as the start of next year,” “I'm thinking of building a venue that can run permanent K-pop shows four or five times a day — more than 1,000 a year” (Edaily)Chosun Ilbo: “We are preparing with the goal of entering New York by the second quarter of next year” / The Korea Economic Daily wrote “robot park” instead of “robot arena.” The timing splits between “early next year” and “by the second quarter of next year.”
Robot idol debutThe Korea Economic Daily and Money Today reported the debut target Choi gave as January 2027.The timing narrowed within the “first half of 2027” window the company had given earlier.
Limited-edition robot on 31 October“At Halloween (31 October) we will unveil a robot for which Galaxy Corporation handled everything from the hardware to the software,” “It won't be mass-produced; it will be a 'limited edition'” (The Korea Economic Daily)In this review, the remark was confirmed only in The Korea Economic Daily's report.
Artist robots“Some people at the agency have agreed, on a non-profit basis, to have robots made in their likeness, so I think we'll announce about one a month” (Seoul Economic Daily)Phrased as a forecast (“I think…”), not a confirmed schedule.

The full course of the listing route continues in the US listing FAQ.
