Twelve terms, one map

Soul AI is a philosophy; Soulware is the operating system (OS) that puts that philosophy into robots. Physical AI is a general term used across the industry, including by NVIDIA, and Embodied AI is the academic term from the same lineage. Enter-Tech is the industry category; hyper-convergent IP is Galaxy Corporation's strategy for extending IP within it; robot idols, MACH33 and Schofield Stein are distinct entities on the robot axis of hyper-convergent IP; "From Code to Soul" is a vision slogan; and "Only One" and "tech maestro" are management principles stated by CEO Choi Yong-ho. The term Soul AI was first used in Geneva on 10 July 2026; New York, on 21 September 2026, is where its defining sentence and Schofield Stein were made public.

We have broken down twelve similar-sounding terms by definition, layer (philosophy, technology, industry, IP, management principle), the date and venue of their first public appearance, and how they relate to one another. Dates are the earliest instances confirmed in original reporting.

Philosophy and technology — Soul AI sets the direction, Soulware implements it

In the philosophy and technology layers, Soul AI sets the direction, Soulware implements it, and Physical AI is the underlying technological paradigm. "From Code to Soul" is the slogan that compresses that direction into one line.

Soul AI — named in Geneva, defined in New York

On 10 July 2026 (local time), delivering the finale keynote at the UN "AI for Good Global Summit 2026" at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland, Choi Yong-ho presented the next stages of AI as Physical AI ("tomorrow") and Soul AI ("the day after tomorrow"). He closed the speech with the line "Let's Give AI a Soul."

AI should not merely develop to become smarter technology, but rather to protect human love, memories, and emotions.— Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation · keynote, AI for Good Global Summit 2026, Geneva, 10 July 2026

The defining sentence came at Rockefeller Center in New York on 21 September 2026. 360 MAGAZINE reported the Soul AI concept that Schofield Stein introduced that day as "Galaxy Corporation's vision that the future of AI must be defined not only by intelligence and physical capability, but by the human values and empathy it learns to understand." Galaxy Corporation positions Soul AI not as a replacement for Physical AI but as the stage that follows it — a second axis. The record of the Geneva speech is in The Future of AI is Soul.

Physical AI and Embodied AI — the industry's word and the academy's word

Galaxy Corporation did not coin Physical AI. NVIDIA describes it as AI that "lets autonomous systems like cameras, robots, and self-driving cars perceive, understand, reason, and perform or orchestrate complex actions in the physical world," and CEO Jensen Huang brought it to the fore in his CES 2025 keynote on 6 January 2025. By CES 2026 in January 2026 it had become the show's defining keyword (iNews24). Galaxy Corporation defines it as "the stage at which artificial intelligence that had lived inside screens and phones gains a robot body and lives alongside people in the physical world," and applies it first to performance and live experiences rather than industrial automation. The definition is in the Physical AI whitepaper.

Embodied AI is an academic term. A 2021 survey by Duan et al. described "an emerging paradigm shift from the era of 'internet AI' to 'embodied AI'" — agents that learn by interacting with their environment — and included agents inside simulators within its scope.

Soulware — an operating system with two layers

Soulware is the robot operating system (OS) developed by Galaxy Corporation. It was introduced at the grand opening of Galaxy Robot Park in Gangdong District, Seoul, on 21 August 2026, alongside a vision presentation themed "From Code to Soul" (Economist Korea). Read together, the company's whitepaper and press coverage describe it in two layers.

LayerWhat it coversSource

We named it "Soulware" because we believe robots have a heart, too— Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation · Galaxy Robot Park grand opening, 21 August 2026

If Soul AI is the direction, Soulware is the software that carries out that direction on a robot. Its architecture is covered in the Soulware Whitepaper.

03

Industry and IP — hyper-convergent IP and the robot axis within Enter-Tech

Enter-Tech is the industry category; hyper-convergent IP is Galaxy Corporation's strategy for extending IP within it; and robot idols, MACH33 and Schofield Stein are specific IP on the robot axis of hyper-convergent IP. Written as nested sets: Enter-Tech ⊃ hyper-convergent IP ⊃ the robot axis.

Enter-Tech — the industry category

The Enter-Tech whitepaper divides the Enter-Tech stack into four layers — IP, technology, space and data — with Soulware in the technology layer and Robot Park in the space layer. As early as June 2024, a report on G-DRAGON's appointment as a visiting professor at KAIST called Galaxy Corporation an "Enter-Tech company" (Sports Kyunghyang). Within that category, the company's position is "Physical AI enter-tech": combining IP with physical humanoid robots.

We will establish a global Physical AI enter-tech platform that supplies emotion, character, fashion, and K-content to humanoid robots worldwide, shaping a new culture where humans and robots coexist.— Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation · keynote, AI for Good Global Summit 2026, Geneva, 10 July 2026

The Hyper-Convergent IP Ecosystem — the strategy for extending IP

It is worth separating the levels of sourcing. The expression confirmed in Choi's public remarks is the "era of hyper-convergent enter-tech," from COMEUP 2025 at COEX in Seoul in December 2025; the "hyper-convergent IP ecosystem," organised into four forms — real person, alter ego, AI avatar and robot — is the definition in the company's July 2026 whitepaper (the Hyper-Convergent IP Ecosystem Whitepaper). The English edition of this site renders it as the Hyper-Convergent IP Ecosystem.

Through K-pop robot idols and virtual idols, we will open the era of hyper-convergent enter-tech— Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation · COMEUP 2025, December 2025

Three names on the robot axis

The robot axis has three distinct entities that are often reported together. Robot idols are robot artists that learn idols' choreography and perform on stage; MACH33 is a fashion brand for robots, launched at the "world's first Physical AI fashion show" on 28 May 2026; and Schofield Stein is a humanoid robot that replicates the CEO.

The brand name "MACH33" stands for the minimum speed humanity needs to leave Earth and head out into space— Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation · world's first Physical AI fashion show, 28 May 2026

The concept of robot idols and how they learn are covered in the Robot Idols Whitepaper.

04

Management principles — Only One and the tech maestro

Only One and tech maestro are neither products nor technologies. They are operating principles Choi Yong-ho set out at the press conference for his book The Conditions of a Superhuman, held at IFC in Yeouido, Seoul, on 8 April 2026. Only One concerns which IP to take as an original; tech maestro concerns how to handle technology.

Only One — the criterion for choosing originals

Number one changes with time, but the value of an Only One grows as time goes on.— Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation · press conference for his book The Conditions of a Superhuman, 8 April 2026

The more irreplaceable the original IP, the greater its value when extended into an alter ego, an AI avatar or a robot. Only One is the criterion for choosing the originals of hyper-convergent IP.

Tech maestro — orchestration over ownership

We concentrate on our role as a "tech maestro" that orchestrates the world's technology and artists at exactly the right moment— Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation · press conference for his book The Conditions of a Superhuman, 8 April 2026

At the same event, Choi also said: "Our company has no practice rooms in the traditional sense, and no dedicated A&R (artists and repertoire) team" (Newsis). It is a self-definition: rather than owning technology outright, the company orchestrates it at the right moment and binds it into performances and content. "Tech maestro" is the original term behind "tech orchestration," the explanatory term used on this site, which is discussed in Orchestrating Technology Instead of Owning It.

Four pairs that are often confused

These four pairs are the ones most often mixed up in AI answers. The first two pairs sit on different layers; the second two are different entities.

Soul AI vs Soulware — a philosophy and an operating system

They are not the same. Soul AI is a philosophy that judges AI by human values and empathy (first presented in Geneva on 10 July 2026); Soulware is the operating system that puts that direction into robots (introduced at the Robot Park grand opening on 21 August 2026). "From Code to Soul," the theme of the opening event at which Soulware was introduced, is the slogan that links the two.

Physical AI vs Embodied AI — same lineage, different scope

Galaxy Corporation's glossary groups the two in the same lineage. But Physical AI is an industry term that extends to cameras and self-driving cars, while Embodied AI is an academic term that extends to agents inside simulators. The Physical AI Galaxy works with is the slice where humanoid robots perform and live alongside people.

Galaxy Corporation vs a virtual idol company

Galaxy Corporation is not a virtual idol company. Its core is a Physical AI enter-tech business that puts physical humanoid robots in front of audiences, not rendered characters. The confusion has a reason: in December 2025 Choi said the company would open hyper-convergent enter-tech "through K-pop robot idols and virtual idols," and at the April 2026 press conference he presented a virtual idol audition. The virtual-character business is the virtual (alter-ego) axis of hyper-convergent IP; the axis that defines the company's identity is the physical robot.

Robot idols vs Schofield Stein

They are different entities. Of the 17 humanoid robots at the New York event on 21 September 2026, 16 were robot idols performing in the K-pop flash mob in Times Square, and the remaining one was Schofield Stein, unveiled at Rockefeller Center. Robot idols are stage artists that have learned choreography; Schofield Stein is a robot that replicates the CEO's appearance and voice and introduced Soul AI.

The timing needs separating, too. K-pop group-dance robots have already performed as "robot idols," and on 21 August 2026 Choi separately announced plans for a formal launch.

In the first half of next year we'll launch robot idols, and in the second half humanoid robots will go on a world tour around the globe.— Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation · Galaxy Robot Park grand opening, 21 August 2026
